The Telit LE910 LTE CAT-1 IoT module series is a member of Telit's best-selling xE910 family and can be applied as a drop-in replacement in existing devices based on the family's 2G and 3G models. Supporting speeds of 5Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download, the certified module is positioned for developers and integrators looking to migrate existing North American 2G or 3G IoT devices to LTE and also for new IoT solutions not requiring full LTE speeds, leveraging cost savings associated with CAT-1.

The series is Telit IoT Portal-ready, supporting high-level commands specifically designed to provide quick and hassle-free onboarding of device and data to the cloud, customer apps, back-end systems and servers.

(3) ways in which the Telit LE910 LTE CAT-1 IoT module series is different and unique:

1. At the time of submission, the LE910 CAT-1 series in the most widely MNO certified and accepted product in its class. LTE CAT-1 is a much anticipated arrival by developers and integrators because it is the first time cost and longevity again align with business constraints since 2G. Since MNOs began publicizing plans to sunset 2G, the market has been demanding a replacement solution with similar characteristics. CAT-1 is the first cellular standard specifically conceived to meet technical and business requirements of the IoT. Its application provides reductions in operating costs, size and power consumption compared to traditional LTE. But in order for CAT-1 to be successful in this replacement role, it needs to be broadly available across the region's MNOs delivering CAT-1 IoT service. The LE910 series provides this universality with variants not only approved for use by North American MNOs but also for Europe and coming soon for Asia.

2. The LE910 CAT-1 series delivers the highest ROI of any of its competitors. These modules are part of Telit's xE910 family, one of industry's most adopted form factors and for which the largest amount of developer expertise and integration know-how have been amassed over the years. This uniqueness helps accelerate return on end-product engineering and design investments in two ways. First because any 2G, 3G, or even LTE CAT 6,4 or 3 based device already designed for the xE910 family can be reused nearly instantaneously by dropping in the new CAT-1 modules. Second because developers and integrators can leverage either their companies' own internal expertise of the xE910 or the industry's familiarity with the family found in competence centers, certification labs as well as among engineers and electronic device integration service providers in general.

3. The LE910 CAT-1 series is not only on the forefront of innovation, but also of simplification as full Telit triple play modules. In order for IoT devices to function and integrate an application or service, three value chain elements need to be part of the solution. The module of course, is the physical connection with the end device where data is generated or consumed. Then, the data must be transported over mobile networks under a mobile data connectivity service. Finally, the IoT device data must be treated and integrated into the apps or services through an IoT platform capable of managing IoT devices and data. Telit calls this special value enhancing, complexity reducing fusion of three value links the triple play. LE910 CAT-1 modules are available as a triple play for developers looking to reduce complexity cost and time to market. The modules support high-level commands specifically designed to provide quick and hassle-free onboarding of device and data to the cloud, customer apps, back-end systems and servers. Telit IoT Portal-ready modules powered by deviceWISE make device onboarding uniquely simple to program, maintain and scale.

Created in 2006, the CTIA Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards honor the industry's emerging, innovative and cutting-edge mobile services, solutions and technology.

For the 10th year in a row, a select few will be given one of the industry’s highest honors by a panel of experts, media and analysts and celebrated at the awards ceremony at CTIA Super Mobility 2016. And you don't have to win to get noticed. All entrants will have the opportunity to feature their products in the awards showcase at the event.
