Before choosing a solution for your next LTE design, here are some important considerations to keep in mind.

1. Consider the application requirements

Are there any special requirements which may affect power consumption constraints and size constraints.

2. Area

In which region would you like to deploy the application? This affects the modules in 2 ways. First physically the module has to support the frequencies used in that particular region. Second, the module also needs the required regulatory approvals for that region such as FCC in USA.

3. Carrier
For LTE, the frequencies used to deploy the LTE network change depending on carrier. Therefore, it's important for Symmetry to know if you have a carrier preference.

4. Date Rate
Data rate will affect which category module should be used for application. If application has heavy data transmission such as video surveillance, it will need high data rate module such as LTE Cat3/4. However, if the application has very little data such as monitoring, it can use LTE Cat1/M1 modules.
