Symmetry Electronics Announces Distribution Agreement with Open-Source Manufacturer SparkFun Electronics

Los Angeles, CA, June 5, 2024 – Symmetry Electronics, a Division of Braemac, today announced a distribution agreement with SparkFun Electronics, a renowned provider of open-source electronic parts and solutions. This agreement serves as a strategic move to further expand Symmetry’s offerings by incorporating SparkFun’s extensive portfolio of components, sensors, and IoT solutions.

As a valued member of the Exponential Technology Group (XTG), Symmetry’s strategic integration with Braemac has further solidified their position as a comprehensive global electronic component distributor and value-added services provider.

Leveraging over 20 years of industry expertise, SparkFun is committed to making technology accessible to everyone by providing tools, hardware, and resources to ‘broaden access to innovative technology.’

Symmetry Electronics has an established ecosystem of fortified partnerships with industry-leading suppliers, including Digi International. SparkFun is a Digi International Value-Added Reseller (VAR) for OEMs. Their VAR collaboration will benefit Symmetry’s customer base with an enhanced portfolio of IoT devices like the Digi XBee® 3.

Demonstrated at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Digi modeled eight use cases for the Digi XBee 3 Low Power LTE-M/NB-IoT Global Modem when paired with SparkFun’s Digi XBee Development Board, Qwiic® ecosystem components, and Digi Remote Manager®. The applications and use cases included:

• Access control/identification with RFID
