By converting the magnitude and variations of a magnetic field into electrical signals, magnetic sensors monitor changes and detect disturbances within that field. These programmable sensors measure magnetism and geomagnetism in the following applications: industrial, utility meters, control knobs and selector switches, transportation, and home and building automation.
